There are only few influencers and YouTubers who feel it as their responsibility to take up such issues and share their thoughts on social media platforms about the same. One of such instance is Ankush Bahuguna.
Architect turned writer turned actor and now a social media influencer Mr. Bahuguna loves his audience and tries to connect with them on a personal level. Ankush started his journey on social media as a content creator and entertainment editor at mensxp and idiva. At that time, little did he knew where will he bumbed into.
When Ankush started working on his personal social media account initially, it was more about comic videos where he use to play various characters from Pankaz to Priyanka ke papa to creepy Raghav But as his followers increased he started to talk more about feminism and toxic male masculinity and breaking stereotypes. He changed the definition of digital entertainment.
To do a bit towards breaking toxic male masculinity Ankush has shared a series of makeup videos where he does his own make-up. He posted photos wearing black eyeliner with the caption, “It’s not my eyeliner that scares you, it’s my freedom to wear it that scares you. You play by a rulebook and I don’t and that makes you insecure. This really isn’t about me, this is about you.” His message is always loud and clear- it is not a fight against men but it is fight against patriarchy.
Is feminism about male bashing or hating on men?; well its clearly not. But how many people around us know this and believe in it? Misandry and feminism are two totally different words and concepts. Influencers, celebrities and YouTubers talking about this is the need of the hour. And Ankush is doing it in all the right ways possible!
