If you have been binge watching web series on YouTube, you must have come across YouTuber-actor widely seen for his stint as lovable school boy in commercials, television daily soaps and web series. Yes we are talking about the 25-year-old, Rohan shah.
He has worked in various YouTube web series portraying different characters. And now, he was recently seen in Bollywood film 'hacked'.
Even though we have been seeing the actor from a long time now, his recent movie was totally different from what he used to act. He acted as a villain who was a boy next door, the guy who is helping you around. The film had a strong message as you would never imagine that a boy running errands can be a hacker and such an expert at the computers. This is one of the reasons that the movie got so much appreciation.
Rohan has also recently worked for dice media and was a part of India's first Instagram series, named firsts. In just months of its release, the series was registered with 16 million views on Instagram alone and a cumulative viewership of 26 million (including YouTube and Facebook).
While Rohan is not sure if the trend of making a web-series for Instagram or one-minute-long episodes will be a trend in the near future, he is happy that if it does they “will be the ‘first’ to do it."
Rohan who is working in film industry when he was 6 year-old itself says, he doesn't remember a time when he was not on the sets and feels he has been raised on the sets. He is 25 now but still plays role of a 15 year old, cute boy.
Talking about this, he admits, Some times back, I was in a phase, which I think every guy faces, where I felt the need to look my age and didn't want to do this school boy thing anymore. Basically, I wanted to be a 'man'. But then gradually with time I became comfortable with it and realised it's actually my strength. Like, I am 25 and I can act my age and still be a 15-year-old kid."
