Youtuber, Srishti Shrivastava aka jo, popularly known for her role in TVF’s Girliyapa, was recently seen in Amitabh Bachchan- Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo and in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. She has now definitely turned into a Bollywood star.
After her graduation, our YouTube star always wanted pursue into acting but it was not easy back then as people used to mock her by saying "You don’t look like a model."
As one of the millions dreaming of stardom as a child, it was Srivastava's brush with Rajkumar Hirani that steered her in the right direction.
When the director visited Mumbai's Sophia College for Women where she was studying mass media, she asked him how to break into acting. And that is when he suggested doing theatre and Shrivastava enrolled herself in The Drama School Mumbai.
In her first play, Faezeh Jalali's 7/7/07, Srishti Shrivastava played Reyhaneh Jabbari. after this Shrivastava went onto perform in the pivotal roles of Mahabharata's Amba and Draupadi in Shikhandi: The Story of the In-betweens (which won her the best actress award at this year's META theatre festival) and the independent, headstrong lead Aarti in Manav Kaul's Chuhal.

In her popular YouTube series, Srishti portrayed, A hostel don, Jo who lives life by her rules and has been raised as a tomboy. This 3-part original series revolves around the lives of four girls from different backgrounds and their life in College and the hostel they reside in.
After years of theaters and YouTube she is now finally been acknowledged into Film Industry. On working around Amitabh Bachchan actor says, “It is something to achieve that kind of love and passion for your work and still maintain that enthusiasm. I was so blown away by Bachchan sir. I was so motivated. I promised myself that I will work harder after this film.”
