With coronavirus pandemic at peak we’re all 'locked' down in urban apartment blocks, suburban terraced houses or village homes. From laptop screen to kitchen to dwelling around in balcony itself we are all confined to a few square meters of house. 8 months of lockdown is now getting on our nerves and we all are having an urge to travel, to breathe fresh air, to play in sand, to swing hair in wind and what not. And this is the reason that I have been watching soo many travel videos that lately my YouTube recommendations are showing more and more travel vlogs.
For someone like me who loves Pahaad (mountains) mesmerizing captures of the same aligned one after another is a pure heaven to watch. These days I have discovered a YouTube channel named Nomllers. Nomllers works on YouTube as well as on blogs. It is ran by two best friends sharing their experiences of travel, destinations, food, culture etc.
As they write about themselves they say, "Once upon a time, there were two girls, wishing upon the star to explore the world. Little did they know that their dreams were soon to come true, They were going to meet each other and form a truce. Now they travel the whole world one place at a time, Thanking their luck for a friendship so divine."
Radhika and Rachita are childhood friends, who left their corporate jobs at the same time to travel the world. Together they started this blog and a YouTube channel “Nomllers” to give destination based information which will make travelling to these places easy; hoping their blogs and videos helps in planning trip better for others.
The solo travelling is picking up its pace in India and so are the solo travel vlogs. So today Humans of YouTube will share insights Radhika's YouTube channel Radhika Nomellers. With her bucket list, Radhika keeps striking out the “travel things” that she accomplishes; among them, are quit corporate life, trek on Zanskar – Chadar trek and get certified as a skydiver. She is one of the top travel vloggers in India with her followers increasing exponentially.
When she initially made the plunge, she wasn’t sure if travel blogging as a full-time gig would stick but after about eight months at it, she doesn’t have any plans to go back. She says, “There is no greater joy than to experience an endlessly changing horizon each day.”
